My crankshaft has arrived. :-) :-) :-)  could just jump up and down for joy. OK.....maybe not but I am pleased.

Kyle in the Tidewater yacht service parts dept. called at 10.00 am when he got in to tell me it had arrived. Thanks Kyle.

Yes....I am quite happy. Of course it is like an early Birthday present. Actually birthday is the 25th. Only 47 for a couple more weeks.

That's right.....I do get into my work.

Trust......but verify. End of shaft is different but that means nothing in my application. It has splines that do not get used here.
Calipers You have to measure everything quite carefully and write it down.

The book tells you everything you need to know if you have a good book

While I wait for computer to download pictures sent by Anastasia I can share some other good news.  I have lost 2 1/2 inches on waist in 3 weeks. I have no idea what I weigh but I weighed 225 without a protruding waist before I got hurt and I weighed about 220 when I arrived here.

I actually was up to 245 while on the bulk up lifting weights cycle this spring. I am getting stronger all the time. My legs are really getting tight now.  Once I get settled for the winter I want to get back in the gym. I was really getting some muscle built back up when it was time to get back to boat. I should be lean and hard at 225. I really am not to far from that. I think most people would be surprised at how strong I really am.

So Steve and Anastasia are getting their boat ready to move to another marina tomorrow

Steve replacing hydraulic line for steering. Even kitty was getting in on the action. So the other night I told Steve and Anastasia I was going to have to find a cute little honey for on my boat. I said there was a short supply of them at the Marina.  I didn't mean it that way Anastasia. You are a doll....But you are Steves doll. I think you and Steve  make great friends though....You know how much I enjoy intelligent conversation. There is however a lack of single women at the Marina.
I am so looking forward to seeing  Steve and Anastasias boat a year from now. I think it is going to turn out fantastic.

At this point I am giving up on getting pictures from email. Just cannot seem to get inbox to load. So I will have bearing set by tues. morning I bet. If so I am thinking I will be in the water on Friday and be pitching engine and running engine so I can re-torque everything. This is what I have been waiting for.

I wonder how many other people have done what I am doing with no help. I know engine is a little heavy and fits into a little hole under the ladder but I have a way devised to roll it in myself. I might at least be the first one at this marina to do it. Oh...I can have help if I need it. This is about doing for myself. I have come a long way in the last year and a half..

I did get windlass mounted and almost everything else is taken care of. I can just concentrate on the engine. I should have it in the hole on the second day. Well that is the plan. See you again on Tuesday. I will hopefully be building an engine in my galley then and have pictures of that.
